There was only silence, once he was gone. Disrupted only by shaky breaths, while she lay otherwise motionless. She hurt, bruised and battered in places, but it could have been worse, she told herself. She may have deserved worse, she believed. There was no call out for help once he'd stopped, for whatever reason he had decided to stop, to turn and to leave her. One last kindness, perhaps. She lay there, exhausted, aching. A hollow feeling developed deep in her chest, its empty throbbing outweighing the little cuts and scratches. It hurt worse, she thought, than staring out across the ground, seeing the broken off remnant of a pronged and decorated antler.

The broken apendage seemed to taunt her. It stood for many things once, to some a sign of power and blessings, of good fortune to those that might keep and place her atop a pedestal. It stood for her lies and deciet, convincing a Beast of a power she never had. It shattered just as her facade had, the falsehoods stripped away. Rightly so, a voice told her.

In time, Zehava would move, as much as she had considered staying there, perhaps to fade into nothingness. It sounded appealing, yet her fear of death remained too strong, driving her, shaking, onto her feet. Where might she go? The truth that she was all to aware of was quite clear. She knew next to no one, and deserved no one's remorse for her actions led to this. It was a story of her own making. She deserved no healer's pity, and yet would try to seek one. She hardly knew even where to go, her world in Gemini had been so small, revolving in a twisted dance between Fairy and Beast. The music faded now, no glowing lighted pools remained, just the tiny drops of her blood against white snow, as the small golden hellion limped away from the place where something had ended.

This, to her utter misfortune, was only a beginning to something more.

thread for post-breakup scene. no one else would have witnessed what happened, details will remain vague. Zehava is a little beat up but not terrible and one of her antlers has almost entirely been removed. Thread open to anyone, aiming to just establish events to move forward to reveal of babies <3

It was a quiet evening.

The sun was beginning to disappear behind the horizon, and the clouds were brilliant colors, bouncing off the fresh layer of snow.  Corrosion had been at ends with himself for most of the day, trying to divulge a plan that would take the stress of his involvement off of the golden Hellion he had met.  He owed her nothing- in fact he barely knew her.  She had decided to spew her entire life out to him though however, and some of that involved Zeke.  Corrosion knew first hand how terrible, and frightening his brother could be, even cruel.  Zehava did not deserve to know him, or be around him.  He knew that whatever happened between them would either end in violence- or her disappearance.

Corrosion would not have that.

The hellion searched most of the day for her, looking in the usual places he himself would be-  the cliffs, the shore, the meadow, but he did not find a trace of her.  His stomach began to clench, perhaps he was too late and Zeke had already laid waste to her, and threw her body off the cliffs.  His eyes narrowed, and his breaths became more ragged, but- in those breaths he picked up something- a scent, hers- but not in the form he wanted.  The scent held a large portion of iron.  Pinning his ears back, and swearing under his breath, Corrosion ran in the direction of the smell- which suddenly caused his stomach to turn.  He wondered if she was dead, lying in a puddle of red on the white snow.  He ran hard, and fast until he saw something protruding from the snow.  He skidded to a halt besie the branch?  No.

An antler.

Fury rose in his chest, he bent down and picked up the antler, seeing the drops of blood- the trail of it leading gin a certain direction.  He followed, running, wanting to find her alive- please be alive.  He ran, and hoped, and ran and prayed until-

She was there-

Bloody- mangled- limping, but alive.  "Zehava?" He said quietly, not wanting to startle her, taking small, caution filled steps towards her.  He wanted to ask what happened, who had done this?  But he knew-  Of course he knew.  He had to stifle the rage, the utter disgust and betrayal he felt rising inside him.   "What did he do to you- Where is he?" He wanted to yell at her, what was she thinking trusting him! WHY?!  He wanted to chase his bastard brother down and kill him, like he should have before.  He should have ripped his throat out, but he couldn't he was family-  Not anymore.  Next time Corrosion saw Zeke, he wouldn't hold back, he'd finish what he started.  He'd tear off this disgraceful branch of the family tree, as Zeke tore off Zehavas antler, and bury it deep where no one could find it.  He placed her broken antler in the snow before approaching her, carefully, slowly.   She needed to sit. She needed a healer.  She was broken, bruised, hurt, and betrayed.  She needed a healer, but, right now, she also needed a friend. He neared her, not caring if she lashed out, her bite would be but that of a flea to him.  His large form leaned on her, urging her to use him as support.  Corrosion howled for a healer, or at least someone with knowledge, an urgent request.

"Sit. Help will come soon.  Sit.  Stay with me until then."
