LORELAI
an elemental warriors roleplay

The cats of our forest do not differ from traditional clans besides the fact that Starclan blessed four of the ancient clans with elemental powers. Fire, water, earth and wind are at the paws of certain cats. Skyclan is the outside clan, once having a power that has long since been lost.

Lorelai is a relaxed AU warrior cat roleplay. We have a completely new website with lots of opportunities and positions for you to fill! A site-wide plot offers more options for roleplaying as well. We hope to see you here!

What are we? A simple, free-form, plot driven Warrior Cats roleplay. We're based in the forest territories from the original series, and are entirely AU! We have no word count, and no character limits! We encourage traditional names (names that make sense for feral cats to understand, within our low fantasy elements) and creating an exciting story within the Warriors universe!

But I've never read Warriors! We encourage newbies to the canon to come play with us! We've created a welcoming newbie guide meant to encourage new players to the fandom, or those that are simply wondering what all the fuss with cats is about! Think of it as exciting political dynamics and tribal structures, just with cats! No previous knowledge required!

Come check us out today!

Maria
Timber Wolf | Female | 3 years | Rogue | Biography

The smell of the decaying logs above her head had never bothered her, even as it grew more and more potent as the years passed. She had been raised under these logs back three years ago when they had freshly fallen, creating the perfect den for a mother and her single pup. Now, after her mother had passed, it was solely Maria who resided there. From time to time, strangers caught out in the rain or snow had been granted a spot beside her until the storm passed, but otherwise the young wolf lived in solitude. Wolves rarely lived on their own, especially a female. She knew many packs would welcome her, if not only for the fact she was a young and fertile female who could produce pups and strengthen a pack. Perhaps that idea set off a red flag in her mind, a warning that she would be seen as only an object to be utilized. She didn't want that at all.

Green eyes slowly started to close as night approached, her head laying atop her paws in a cozy position, prepared to sleep and search for food in the morning. As the last of the sun's rays filtered through the trees she sent a silent prayer up to her mother as she always did, to remind herself she wasn't as alone as she seemed. That small hope was all that kept the black and grey-pelted female going. Hope was a powerful motivator, and though speaking to her you'd assume she was cold and a bit rude, her will to live was strong and she had every intention of someday finding a pack or mate to continue her bloodline. But for now, all she could think about was a good night's sleep.

After the Raven Has Had Its Say [Kahleb]

Morning, noon, night; they all passed relentlessly in this large world and brought with them peace, tranquility, and even some frustrations. The summer was slowly transitioning in to autumn now and it seemed as though the creatures of the world could feel the ancient being they lived on begin to shift in to a new form of life. Of course this transition was nothing unusual or unheard of; it was a thing that came and went every few months and it was something that subtly reminded the inhabitants of the lands that change was necessary; it was good.

With the rising sun came the dew off the grass and trees- a thin film of mist hovering over the world. It was a cooler than usual morning even with the sun stretching out its rays to catch the leftover water and evaporate it back in to the atmosphere. In the valleys at the base of a nearby mountain a small herd of deer fed in the tall grasses- smaller creatures ran to and fro at the base of the trees that crawled upwards to the heavens along the peaks of the mountain, and everything seemed quaint and peaceful.

That was true until a loud snarl ripped through the air. A small flock of birds erupted from a nearby tree as a hulking mass stormed through, his head low and his steps heavy. Even the deer stopped from grazing to watch as the dire wolf came in to the morning light- frustration clouding his mind and face. He looked up from the grass at them and his face softened a bit, turning from them to lumber to another side of the valley. Montauk had been traveling for some time now; still forever in the prusuit of learning the language of birds in order to communicate with them and find what he considered a 'singular truth'; but try as he might, he was finding it considerably more difficult than previously thought of. Montauk was not one to snap out of anger, but the thought of never being able to communicate in their language made his stomach churn and his brain hurt. Had he not done enough? The dire only snorted as he lumbered a few more yards away to the base of a tree and plopped down to his stomach. He was tired, hungry, and completely out of ideas on how to begin learning something that he had no real idea if he was even doing right. The male snorted as he lay his head down on his front paws. Perhaps he would rest and try again after a good sleep and a meal.

Let me show you what I am used to [Crow x Cocytus]
Posted by: Crow - August 26, 2018, 01:06:03 AM - Replies (4)

He was long past the age where he’d so much as look twice at a half-rotten body sinking into the earth. Dead things were boring and bones were just the chaff animals left behind when they expired. But lately, he saw them and searched incuriously for a patch of red on coal, for some drop in this filthy pond that he could use to find — well, you probably know by now. He would not accept being abandoned. He would not let anyone separate them. Not even her.

The black wolf had only just stumbled upon a skeleton with a pelt sagging over it that smelled tantalizingly familiar somehow. Had he been responsible for this corpse? Crow smelled the empty eye sockets, nosed around the exposed ridges of the spinal cord, when —

A bright eye roving over, a crafty ear tilting. A smile.

“My, you’ve grown.”

The bird spots a salamander [Crow x Telana]

Rain had settled in a light patter and it would only grow more persistent as the afternoon burned into evening, but for now she enjoyed what little of it that she could. The noise wasn't all bad.

Huddled in a mass of wet fur she sat contently next to varying shades of red blossoming roses. The garden empty today, the acolytes that had seen to her had long since taken off, and oddly enough Lana found herself wanting the company back. The silence was deafening, and as funny as it sounds to even think that silence could be loud, her's spoke volumes.

Past lives reconvened on some hidden road in her memories, a spiteful eyed child stood behind her parents, glaring as they spoke highly of another wrapped in a coat of ginger-red. If Azuhel was here now, they could simply laugh about it, but her dear sister had a way of leaving friend, blood, and lovers behind. Ear twitching and she'd turn slightly to a the creeping of a rather sinister looking shadow. Ah. She didn't know him well, Azuhel's odd little play thing, but she knew enough.

"You won't find her here."

  Let Us Be Brave

She was beginning to think that maybe she had taken a wrong turn. It had been a day since she decided to turn right over the mountains, and still there was no sign of the river. Henbane, in all her glorious wisdom, decided to take what she thought would be a shortcut. As the crow flies, her father always said. She couldn’t very well sprout wings though, so her only choice had been to climb. However, that was proving to not be the best idea. All Henbane could see was a vast expanse of land. The rolling hills touched the darkening horizon of twilight with no river in sight. At least not any that were familiar to her.

The small brown mutt peered closer at the surroundings below, and in the vast prairie there was a verdant patch of green. The westward winds blew with them a familiar scent of a border. She had grown up near one while still a pup where her father would visit. The smells made her feel nostalgic, even if they were the same pack of her childhood. Maybe they could help her? Her father had always warned her about approaching these borders and the wolves within them. He had been exiled for his tryst with her mother, and so she could understand his reservations. There wasn’t much choice though. She had been so preoccupied with trying to get back to her family that her body was wasting away. She had been hungry before that fateful fall into the river, but now she was starving.

Carefully Henbane slid down the rolling mountain hill as the night breeze sent a chill through her dusty fur. Only when making it to the base of the mountain had she realized how far off the green place seamed. She could still smell the borders, although it was fainter now. Even though her muscles were tight with exhaustion Henbane pressed forward in a dash across the vast expanse. Although weakened Henbane almost enjoyed her run, now unhindered by the claustrophobic aura of the mountain passages. She flew across the flat lands towards the smell of the borders, the sun finally shrinking behind the mountains she had traversed. As she ran Henbane let out yips and howls to announcing her presence to any in the area.
