She had been putting it off for long enough, she knew it and she knew that if she kept procrastinating that she would only make things worse. And so she went out, looking for the Heralds that she had been told to seek out. Her shoulder had finally begun to scab over and while it itched intensely she knew better than to scratch at it and risk getting an infection. So instead she stopped and shook herself vigorously, hoping the violent motion would stop the itching.

It didn't.

Cursing herself and her luck Caesar kept going through the fog, silver eyes dull and uncaring. She didn't know what to expect from her meeting with the Herald but she knew better than to expect anything good to come out of it. Better to not get your hopes up. Set your expectations low and you will not be disappointed. The sight of a blue figure up ahead caught her attention and she perked up a bit. Perhaps she was luckier than she gave herself credit for. Trotting to catch up she called out softly, "Hey! Do you know where I can find a Herald around here."

she's got fire in her veins,
smoke on her lips,
and blood staining her fists.
but her mind is wrapped in chains,
and scars mark her hips;

sometimes she forgets she even exists.

The water beneath him was tinged with red when Caesar found him.

Lifting up his head from where he stood in a pond, Cocytus looked over his shoulder and quietly regarded the red wolfdog behind him. Tilting his head, just a fraction of an inch, he carefully took in her appearance and scent, nostrils flaring, before he suddenly seemed to pause, as if considering something. Then, a moment later, something in his gaze seemed to shift.

"Do ah know where ah can find a Herald?" he rumbled curiously, echoing her question. Slowly, he waded out of the shallow pool, abandoning whatever it was he'd been doing, shaking out his wet pelt with tongue lolling before he continued his approach, his blue figure large, confident, disclosing a power that belied his easygoing demeanour.

He stopped before her and looked down, grinning toothily, his amber eyes heavy and warm, almost soporific.

"Missy, yer lookin' at one."

Caesar watched him standing in the pond and let him scrutinize while she did the same to him. He had an unreadable expression and shifty golden eyes. He repeated her question and she gave a small nod, wondering if he was hard of hearing. The water rippled violently as he waded from the shallow and she stepped back to avoid the spray when he shook his coat out.

He was large and powerfully built, carrying a heavy air of confidence that felt familiar. This guy reminded her a lot of Azuhel. He flashed her a cheeky grin, honey eyes sparkling in amusement, "Missy, yer lookin' at one." Oh? She tilted her head and narrowed her eyes, not enjoying the feeling of playing the fool. With an internal sigh, she pushes the feeling aside with a mental sweep and plasters on a polite smile. "Beg yer pardon, my name is Caesar. Azuhel told me ah was to come seek one of ya out since ah been away for a while." Silver eyes refused to meet his gaze when she admitted her absence. It hadn't been her brightest decision.

"So, who're you?"
