Sharing Blood - Lucifer - December 26, 2017

I've been on a long road
With the devil right beside me
Rising with the morning sun
It's a hunger that drives me

Scuffing noises of feet scrambling across the ground. A strong guttural groan echoing through the birch, followed quickly by a short-lived squeal.

Thud.

It was down. After such a long, annoying trek of a hunt. The young doe was down.

Analyzing his catch was a medium-sized canine; his black and white stripes camoflauging well in the birch forest. Blue shimmered against the fading light of day, an orange hue being cast over his white body. Lucifer gazed skywards, closing his blue eyes against the breeze. Finally he could relax after tracking his prey for what felt like years.

Sighing heavily, he'd settle down on his haunches, bending over to begin tearing open his catch. It wasn't fat or skinny, rather average. A decent meal that would last a decent while; he'd have to hunt in the next two days probably. Tail twitching at it's tip, he'd grunt as he crunched through a rib to get to the tastier, softer organs inside. Blood stained his white paws and muzzle, his eyes narrowing as he thought how'd he have to clean his fur again.

His heart fluttered as he thought back to his mother as he savored the deer's liver. It had been her favorite, deer liver. He understood he was big enough to leave her side but...His heart ached as he missed the soft, loving touch of her orange and black striped fur. Shaking his head, Lucifer stood up, gnashing his teeth angrily into the deer as he guzzled down his meal now. "Why couldn't I have stayed? It would've been okay. I'm not all cat."He'd hiss between chomps.

Swallowing hard, he'd lift his head, black ears twitching. Scavengers already? He'd let his hackles raise and his head lowered protectively over his catch. Licking his jaws, he'd wait patiently for their appearance before deciding to fight or bail. The mere, previous thought of being kicked from his family, had been enough to make him want to draw blood though. He wouldn't mind a fight if he'd come out of it. Though he suddenly began to relax, nostrils twitching, he could smell nothing but the sweet smell of his bleeding dinner.

They expected him to be riled up, protective and angry...Why not give them the silent killer treatment instead? His eyes widened and he rolled his shoulders into a more relaxed position. "Come on."He'd call out, "What are you waiting for? A chance to pounce?"He'd call softly, letting his voice stay smooth and sweet; perhaps even flirty. Anything to catch one off-guard. All he wanted was a full belly for a change, dammit.

RE: Sharing Blood - Royal - January 17, 2018

The gods were always right. They filled her head with their voices, images of things they wanted her to do or find for them. She was nothing but a messager for them. Tasked with bringing the dammed, and broken back to there rightful place next to them. To purify them and the land that they walked on. Making sure that they were ll cleared of any unsightl blemishes. The land was a gift, and the meat suits were gifts that must be treasured. The gods were generous to make us all different, and Royal didn't want them to take that away from her.

"I don't pounce." Royal spoke up from her hiding spot between a few bushes. Slowly, she made her presence known to the multi colored male as she removed herself from the bushes. Her bright blue eyes shined brilliantly in the softened light. "Quite territorial, aren't you?" Royal mused as she kept her distance from the hungry fellow that was in front of her. She knew not to anger a soul that was consuming a life source. "The gods seemed to have granted you quite the catch." She spoke, her voice soft. "Red suits you." She took a step forward, so that she was a bit closer to the creature and it's meal. Then, she sat. Letting the white side of her face be in the light as the darker half hid in the growing shadows.

"I have been looking for someone like you." She cut to the chase. Not really caring who this creature was. "Someone who blends in well, someone who enjoys the smell and look of blood. Are you, fond of the iron filled liquid?" Royal asked, her head tilting to the side as she waited for her answer from the male in front of her. "What if, I said it was your birth right to decorate the land in it and be brought to a land where nothing but blood cleansed the land. A place where you'd be protected by the vary thing that you loved?"
